Check out these adorable animals. (Do bats and fish count as animals?) We later had an adorable kangaroo, two Dorothys, Pebbles, little-bo-peep, a cheerleader and a clown. Scott and I had some friends in the neighborhood over for chili cheese dogs and cider on Halloween. I think this is my new favorite Halloween tradition. MMmmmm... chili cheese dogs....
We didn't have nearly as many trick-or-treaters as I expected. There are at least 50 kids on our block alone, and so I figured we would get about twice that many kids at our door. Apparently most of the local churches had a Halloween party that night, so we were left with 3 big bags of unopened candy. Darn. : ) We did use about 4 bags of candy though.

Ian was such a cute puppy! We bought one bag of candy and had one leftover... not a single person came to our door! Sad, huh? Looks like you guys had a great time!
What cute kids! I'm glad you guys could do something fun for Halloween. I expected to have tons of kids come trick-or-treating at our house, but we really didn't have that many either. I'm totally fine with having leftover candy though. (That's part of the reason I bought so much.)
We didn't end up having any kids come to our door... We anticipated this and didn't buy any candy. Josh had some candy from last year just in case. Kidding! But seriously, that's why we always keep our Ramen noodle stock full on Halloween. Kids love Ramen! (We've only had three kids in three years come to our house for Halloween.)
Oh, and yes, fish and bats are in the Animal Family.

Oh, what cute pictures!!! And I like that tradition--I need to make some sort of a Halloween tradition. And we had very few trick-or-treaters too, so I've been eating WAY too much candy in the last few days.

We didn't get any trick-or-treaters at all - what a bummer. We had a festive Halloween bowl full of delicious treats, and we ended up sitting on the couch, watching reruns of The Office and eating all the candy ourselves. :-)
