Gorgeous Weather & Stuff

Just thought you all might want to know that it is 10:15 p.m., a perfect 60 degrees F and we have a slight breeze blowing in through our windows. Our windows are open! In February! The past several days have been just like this --- 70 degrees, a little breezy, and not at all humid. I have decided that February is a good enough reason for anyone to move to Houston. Oh! It is so glorious! I love the fresh, pleasant smell that enters through an open window on a night like this, and permeate the entire house. This is heavenly.

So, everyone, no more visitors in July. February is the new summer break 'round here.

And because I know grandparents and great-grandparents would leave here disappointed if they didn't get to see Ian, here are a few older shots that I forgot about. They were all taken in early January.

Here, Ian decided he was done eating, popped in his binkie, and then absentmindedly kept shoveling cheerios toward his mouth.

Some of Ian's friends came over to play and brought over loads of fun toys. Best of all was this basket, which Ian sat in for no less than 30 minutes, reading, playing, lounging.

"What's the big deal? Can't I get a minutes peace to read my board book, Ma?"
Ewww. Soggy, sloppy wheat biscuits.

Ok, he is such a cutie! I love him sitting in the toy basket. My kids always loved to do that, lol, Abby does it now and it makes me laugh! lol, at least they can reach lots of toys! Sully did the same thing with his binkie. We used to laugh.

Again, Ian is a cutie!!! I love seeing pics of him! Hope all else is well!!

Divine is also the word that came to my mind as I read your description of the weather. Idaho in February is not even close to that beautiful picture. I'm so anxious for spring. I want to go outside and have picnics. Ian is so cute. Lexi also enjoys playing in baskets.

The girls got up this morning and poked their heads out the door. Because it wasn't blowing or snowing they decided that it was officially spring and they didn't want to take their coats to school. Somehow they looked right past the four and five foot drifts of snow all around our house :) We NEED to come visit.

And I was excited because it was in the mid 40s yesterday. Ha, Ha, Ha. Ian is so cute!

We hit 78 degrees today. I don't miss the cold at all. Isn't this weather great? Too bad we won't be able to say the same thing in July. I wish I could leave Erica in a basket for 1/2 hour and have her stay happy. We do things in 10 minute increments around here.

Jealous!! I am very jealous! Though right now we're warming up--it's all the way to 11 degrees now. Yesterday was brutal with windchills 30 below. Don't ever move to Chicago!
I visited Houston in April once and it was beautiful then too. Hot summers must be hard, but I think I'd rather have that than cold winters.
I'm happy for you that you got to open your windows! I love that.

Ian has one of the cutest smiles I have ever seen! Seriously, just looking at him makes me happy :)

How fun hearing about your weather. Its been nice up here too, but not quite like that!

You are such sweet parents! I know Ian adores every second he has with you and Scott.
