Thanks to this classic book for this post title.
Joseph has an ear infection. And RSV.
RSV is scary in such a young baby. And poor Joseph sure is miserable. Thankfully he was diagnosed and started treatment before the pediatrician's office closed for the weekend.
This is what we'll be up to for the next 7 days, 3 times a day.
Good thing there are lots of squirrels to watch in our backyard, because we may not socialize with humans again until summer.
We have great friends who loaned us the expensive breathing machine. And my boys have a great daddy who has been around a whole lot this week to take care of us. And we are all on the road to recovery.

Ohhh Les I'm so sorry. Connor was almost this exact age when he got RSV and I still remember how awful it was. I hope the nebulizer works well and that he is able to stay out of the hospital. YUCK. Call me if you need support or questions or ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!
Oh sorry Lesley, sometimes being a mom is harder than other times. I hope you get a smooth day soon.
When it rains it pours....Good luck!!! I'm glad they caught little Joesph's RSV before he had to be hospitalized. Poor baby, poor mama, poor big brother! Carson had RSV when he was 5 weeks old. I remember thinking we are never going anywhere again. Of course we did...we had too. I'm still in the habit of washing my hands whenever I come into the house. Call me if you need any help...seriously!
I've just been doing a little Larson catch up. Your Christmas tree is absolutely beautiful. We have a little 2 1/2 foot tree. I can't wait to move into house someday... I'm sorry about your fresh air idea that didn't go so well. You are such a good story teller. I could totally see something like that happening to me. Ahh! I'm also very sorry to hear that Joseph has RSV. That is scary. I hope that you all feel well very soon. I wish we were close. I would love to help you out. My prayers will be with you.
I'm sorry to hear that! But, I am glad that treatment was started early. That would be scary.
Oh no!! I am no longer laughing. I hope little Joseph gets much better soon. Poor little guy, and poor mommy!
So sad. If you need anything let me know (cause if you don't I just might assume you are being too brave and show up on your door with food anyway). Your little fam. is in our prayers. Get better real soon.
Tis the season. I'm sorry. Hopefully you guys are all better so we can see you next week. That would be a stinky wedding if we are all sick.
That sounds awful. I hope you can get some sleep and feel better soon. (I hope you do feel like visiting people, because I want to see you at the wedding.) I miss you guys.
You are in our prayers! It looks like you are in good hands. Love Ya!
Oh! It's so sad to see little Joseph like that! :( Props to mom and dad! You two are amazing wonder parents! :) We hope everyone gets feeling better soon!
Les, I'm so sorry! It's always kind of scary to have sick kids, but especially babies that little! I'm so glad you guys caught the RSV so quickly. We'll be praying that you all get better fast. We want to see you all at the wedding too! (By the way, in those pictures Joseph reminds me of Noah when we was a baby!)
Bummer! I'm sure all of us parents can relate to your situation- sickness is no fun at all- your poor, little baby...hope everyone gets better quick!
Oh, I hope you guys are feeling better! That is awful!! Poor Joseph. He is a trooper, and so are you, with the breathing machine and the medications and everything. Here's to a speedy recovery. (What is it with wintertime?! Illnesses, illnesses. Argh.)
