Welcome to Texas
I'm not sure what the Texas way is, but I don't think it's friendly. People complain about Utah drivers but I have to admit that of all the states I've visited Utah has the best drivers. At least Texas has "cheap" gas. It was about $2.93 around our house yesterday. I will get a ten percent discount at Exxon stations. That means we will be paying about $2.60 for gas. I can't believe that that is something to get excited about. When I started driving gas was about $1.00. Those evil oil companies...

We've Arrived!
Hey Friends! We arrived here in Texas last week, and were "roughing it" until our stuff arrived two days ago. We haven't been able to locate our photo cord in all these boxes yet, but as soon as I dig it out, I will post some pictures of our journey, and that adorable, growing baby of ours. (He hit the two month mark on Tuesday!)
So far, Scott and I love it here. Our neighbors are so kind and friendly (four families came and introduced themselves before we had even been here an hour) and we have met lots of great young couples in the ward. We were fridgeless for a week (until our stuff arrived) and three ward families fed us. We really feel included already!
We were unable to get the electricity turned on before we got here, but figured we would be a-okay if we arrived at the house before dark, and if we brought a battery powered lantern for midnight feedings. Boy were we wrong! We inflated our air mattress at the neighbors house, but then lasted only an hour in the house before we felt so melted that we knew we would not last the night in the house because of the incredible heat and humidity. So, we spent the first two nights at our house staying in a hotel. :) Thankfully, our power was turned on by the afternoon of the third day here, so we could move in and begin to get settled. We absolutely love this house, and have enjoyed making it ours. Now for unpacking!
