Just Like Dad

Ian has been bathed in an inflatable bath tub since birth. The duck tub has served us well, and is probably even responsible for 'duck' being among Ian's first words. It quacks when you squeeze its beak, and is well adored by Ian.

Unfortunately, the duck has sprung a leak somewhere and needs to be inflated before each bath. I hate this chore and often try to get by and bathe Ian in a deflated duck... though most of the bath water escapes through the slumping sides of the duck before Ian gets clean. Scott, however, dutifully blows it up each time he bathes Ian. And apparently Ian has taken note. Last night, Ian mimicked Scott blowing air into the duck and we caught it on tape. Enjoy!

Ian is sooooooo cute! I can hardly stand it. Your job must be so rewarding. I'm jealous--I admit.

You have no idea how hard this made me laugh. The way he just faceplants into that duck... that is so priceless. I was giggling hysterically. I even made my sister-in-law come in from the other room to watch it. SO CUTE.

I love watching videos of Ian. He and Shannon are so close developmentally that they are at similar stages when it comes to learning to talk, imitating adults, and laughing in that hilarious way that nearly one-year olds do.

Thanks for sharing!

How cute!! For some reason my google reader has not picked any posts up since feb. 22. I decided to check it out and wow I had a lot to catch up on. I knew something was wrong when it said there had been no post since then.

What a silly little video. It looks like you guys had a blast with Scott's parents visiting. It looks like there are tons of fun things to do around there.

Guess what Les!!! This is actually Greatmama. I finally got past my user name and password. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Your pictures are fantastic and I nearly cried looking at the ones when Scott's folks were there. I want to come to Houston. Gotta get well first. Have you figured out how to make fried green tomatoes? They never sounded too appealing, but you all seemed to love them. And the sausage on the stick?????? Avoid, avoid. Look ahead to October. You are going to wish you hadn't seen that Texas cookin'. I'll bet Ian took a bite out of his duckie when he was trying to blow it up. We loved his roaring like a lion. I love you all. Grandma

this video is adorable! thanks for your comment about moving to California. yes, uc irvine is where those smart, helpful other students were. We're waiting to see what apartment complex we get in to. There is an older one across the street that we didn't check out while we were there. It is going to be a fun change either way. I know i've said this before but I just love your music on your blog!
