Our buddies the Linfords invited us to the Houston Rodeo this week and it was a blast! With giant roasted turkey legs, 12 inch Sausages on a Stick, cattle ropin' and some bull ridin', I felt like we had an authentic Texas rodeo experience. And Rascal Flats put on an awesome concert that evening. I loved shouting the words to some of my favorite songs, and not being able to hear my voice over the band. That is a great thing. Thanks Linfords! I think the Houston Rodeo will become a Larson Family tradition! We sure appreciated the Harvey's letting Ian come over and stay until an unspeakably late hour that night. I bet Ian had a great time trying to keep up with his buddies Matt and James.
Can you see that Sausage on a Stick I am holding? It is as long as my forearm!
A happy caveman.
The stage rotated, so everyone in the crowd had a chance at a good view. I usually watched the big screens though. I thought the set-up was perfect.
I want to go back already! I have finally recovered from my Sausage on a Stick, fries, and funnel cake, and I am ready for more!

Hey! I went to Rascal Flats in Salt Lake! It was an awesome concert.
Rascal Flatts are so good in concert! That rodeo sounds like a lot of fun, but that meat does not look appetizing to me at all! (The funnel cake sounds good thought!)
That sausage on a stick is sheer genius. AWESOME.
I LOVE FUNNEL CAKE. I actually made some at home the other day. SO GOOD!
Wow, that sausage on a stick is impressive!! And you guys decked out in some Texas-style clothing I noticed :) You are such a cute couple, I'm glad you got this night out!
Wow, Liz MADE funnel cake? I'm jealous.
Looks like it was a fun night!! The rodeo is great, we haven't been since 2002. LOL, Glad you had a fun time.
That sounds like a blast! What a fun night. I love some of Rascal Flats songs.
It looks like you guys had so much fun! Rascal Flats knows how to put on a great show. We went to see them in Indianapolis two years ago, it was a blast! I wish we could of went to see them again.
Thanks for going with us. We had such a great time.
PS--I'm glad the music was loud enough that you didn't have to listen to me sing along! :)
That meat looks disgusting!! I can't believe you are still alive to write about it.
Sausage on a stick isn't really my thing, but I'd be all over that turkey leg. Yum! There is something that is so delicious about all that heart stopping fair/rodeo food... so irresistible.
That is AWESOME!!! What a great time! And Sausage on a Stick... brilliant!! We need more foods on sticks. I don't know Rascal Flatts super well, but I LOVE their cover of Life is a Highway from Cars. I rock out to it sometimes when I'm home by myself. :-)
That turkey leg looks delicious!!! I love the cowboy shirts too! Amber and I (mostly me) are totally jealous that you got to see Rascal Flatts in concert.
How fun, I'm so jealous!! You guys got some great pictures!
