Creative Writing *Please Vote!*

We need help judging the Creative Writing event for the Larson Family Pentathalon. See our blog sidebar to vote for song A or song B by Sunday, August 24. Thanks!

Each is sung to the tune of the BYU Cougar Fight Song, starting at "Rise and Shout, the Cougars are Out".

A -

So, when the Lar-son Fa-mi-ly
gets together, it's a par-ty

Our com-pe-ti-tion can get quite fierce,
but our sense of fun is hear-ty!

Min-i Golf, Pie-eat-ing, Scrabb-le,
plus some song writing and some bow-ling,

We both train all year,
when we com-pete,
it's for the Gold!

We talk smack, but it's all for show -
'cause it's the Lar-son Family Pentathalon!

B -

Les loves Scott, as well as their tot,
His name is I-an, he is so cool,

Les loves Scott as well as their tot,
They'll have a-no-ther in October

Work or play, they'll have a great day
It's all the same if they're to-ge-ther,

Watch our fam-'ly grow!
We will be strong!
And we all know --

We'll raise our fam-'ly e-ter-nall-y
Be-cause to-ge-ther we want to be!

I voted for B. And I sang both songs in my head to "Utah Man," as I am a woman of principles.

What I'm trying to say is that as a true fan, I don't sing the other team's fight song. There are BYU fans (such as yourselves) that are also people of principles. It's not a slam at BYU... at least not a big slam.

They're both good...are you kidding me!? I think that B has a lot of good morals/truth but I have to go with A...it's more geared towards the Olympics as well as family! But I love them both! :) You guys are great! :)

Liz I'm with you. I can't sing the BYU fight song. I just read the words instead.

I don't know the tune to the fight song, fill me in. Sorry. I know I am a real disappointment to my mother and especially to my grandparents. Please don't tell Grandpa. I think they are both awesome songs.

You guys are so fun! (I don't know more than the "rise and shout" part of the song either. I won't tell Grandpa if you don't, Katie.)
