Eating ice cream out of a baseball cap while wearing a baseball cap. For Ian, life doesn't get much better.
Decorating cookies. Notice the concentration on his face. If you hold your mouth just so, the sprinkles go much better.
During a moment of insufficient supervision, Ian found a jar of caramel chocolate frosting and ate it off his fists and fingers, occasionally wiping the excess on his jacket. Luckily Ian does not know to lie when I ask him what he is doing. So when I hollered downstairs and asked he replied "I am eating the "chur-lock-it" out of da crockpot!" and I knew exactly what he meant. The weather has been great lately. Thank goodness! We have been shut-ins ever since the pools closed last month. This is how you can find the boys most days -- Joseph practicing going down and climbing back up that stair, and opening and shutting that door over and over, and Ian in his car.
I usually sit on the ledge where Joseph is playing and watch them, and sometimes Ian will join me. He calls it "sitting on the house".
Ian wanted me to take a picture of him so he could see himself. Just before I took this picture he decided to speed things up by making the clicking sound himself and then running over to me, instead of waiting for me to actually take it. But then we got this shot -- it has been months since he has smiled for the camera!

I cannot, cannot, cannot STOP SMILING!!! Oh my word Lesley!!! Your boys are heart breakers!!!! Ah, seriously!! The thought of little Joseph stealing a toy and toddling away will have me laughing all day!!! And Ian is really growing up. The frosting story is awesome! Out of the crockpot?! ha ha ha...I can't stop laughing!
Why can't we live closer?! We want the Larsons next door again!
You took it off private! Your new background and picture on top are very cute by the way. :) What a fun update on your boys, they are growing up too fast! And I know I say this all the time, but our boys really do look alike...that picture of Ian on the chair made me laugh because Noah has the exact same shirt and he always wears it with khaki shorts. ;) Love you guys.
THANK YOU! Now I can check up on you every post!
You are the hottest family in the world. Is that a weird word to describe a family? HOT! Well, that's what came to mind when I saw your header. HOT HOT HOT!!
I love black jelly beans. Maybe it is genetic.
OMG the boys are getting so big!!! I don't know where the time is going, it just seems to fly. LOVE the chairs, are those IKEA ones? Black Jelly Beans are the best! LOL, LOVE them. That is so cute with Ian eating them, lol. And the spinkles on cookies, that is adorable! And they so much fun. Your boys are just getting more adorable and bigger each day! We love and miss ya guys!!!
Oh my gosh, you are so right - that Joseph-crouching picture is SO cute!!! I agree, there are few things cuter in the world.
I love that Ian was completely honest about nabbing the frosting - haha! And I love his "black fruit snacks." That is adorable. I need some sort of cure-all like that for Weston.
Your boys are so freaking awesome!! I can't wait to hear about Joseph's b-day!
Haha, I didn't introduce Ian to black jelly beans. It was all him! Last time I visited I had a bag of trail mix (my homemade trail mix has been described as "trail candy".) I brought it a snack for the plane. One morning I woke up to Ian standing next to the bed, shaking the bag and asking to have some "fruit snacks"---the little rascal had rifled through my purse to find it. He must have some kind of candy-sniffing nose! His immediate favorite was the black jelly beans--just like his Uncle Jason and Great Grandpa Searles.
