Tangerine Snitch

Ian has a special interest in tangerines. Over Christmas, Ian pulverized more than one innocent citrus fruit with his bare hands. Today, he stole a half-peeled tangerine from my bedside table while I walked across the room. He managed to stuff several sections into his mouth and was clenching several more in each fist. He was so focused on the deed that he didn't even realize that he was standing unassisted for several milliseconds. I know he's not supposed to have citrus for another few months, but it was obviously very important to him. So I took pictures instead of taking the fruit away.

"I'm really eating it mom.... aren't you going to stop me?"

"Ah! What IS this stuff? Is this a trick?!"

"Hmmmm. Maybe it's not so bad."

"Are you going to eat yours?"

"Are you sure it's really all gone? Darn."

Don't you love watching them learn something new? Josie has mastered the standing on her own until someone cheers for her. Then she realizes what she is doing and sits down and claps for herself.
Keep the adorable pics coming.

How cute. They're such sneeky little guys, huh? By the way, Ian's getting more and more handsome by the day!

That is rad. Connor was obsessed with the clementines at my mom's house, mostly because he thought they were balls. I guess they're kindred spirits! That will be perfect for when they're roommates at BYU. :)

Yeah!!! Erica SAT by herself for 2 milliseconds. I don't think it really counts, but I was excited anyway.

That is awesome!!! With his age he can have the fruit! lol, it won't hurt him, but that is awesome he was standing! lol, my favorite is the squishing the juicy fruit between their fingers and getting it everywhere! lol. Abby loves to do that!!! It is amazing when they learn new things and taste new things! His expressions in the photos are just priceless! lol. Have you given him a dill pickle yet? lol, that is always fun to watch!!!!!

Pook, this post made me laugh out loud! Ian has such an expressive face--probably because he spends so much time with you! (You make faces like that too!)
